Rocky Mountaineer Vacations

Rocky Mountaineer vacations provide a once-in-a-lifetime journey that combines incredible scenery with first-class service. This Canadian-owned company operates luxury train rides in Western Canada and between Moab, Utah, and Denver in the U.S. Guests can select from four unique rail routes, each showcasing incredible natural beauty in the region.

Ride the rails between Vancouver and Banff on the world’s most luxurious tourist train! Experience awe-inspiring views of rushing waterfalls and snow-capped mountains from the glass-dome windows of one of the seven coaches. You’ll see bighorn sheep, elk, and more on this unforgettable journey through the heart of Canada’s Canadian Rockies.

Enjoy a gourmet meal and drink on your journey, with options Rocky Mountaineer train packages including hot cocoa, ice cream and wine. The meals are prepared in-house, using only the freshest ingredients. The menus are updated regularly and are inspired by local flavors. The chef takes pride in preparing each dish to the best possible standard, and they’re all cooked from scratch.

Comfort onboard is top priority for Rocky Mountaineer, so passengers are assigned plush seats with ample legroom and reclines for mid-route snoozes. Their friendly Hosts attend to your every whim, offering unlimited complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a selection of gourmet snacks.

They also offer a number of extra perks to enhance your trip, such as onboard movies, ice-cream bars and s’mores. Guests can also choose from two levels of service, Gold Leaf or Silver Leaf.

Gold Leaf is the highest level of service, and offers additional benefits such as a dedicated Host, larger and more comfortable seats, and an outdoor viewing platform. This premium level of service is recommended for travelers who value comfort and want to maximize their time onboard the train.

The train journeys offered by Rocky Mountaineer are all-inclusive, and include hotel stays as well as meals and drinks on board. The trips last about 2 days, with the train departing each morning and arriving in the evening at a destination. The hotels are pre-selected based on the service level you opt for.

When you book a Rocky Mountaineer vacation, be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully. The company will not refund any monies paid for your reservation in the event of COVID shutting down the border, an avalanche covering the tracks, a death, or an emergency.

Unlike other tours that operate on multiple routes, Rocky Mountaineer only offers train trips that travel during daylight hours. This means that guests can explore the region by foot or bike and do not sleep onboard the train. It also allows for a more immersive experience and an opportunity to see the countryside during the day.
